This morning Blackwell CISD had a school bus leave the roadway while braking to avoid an 18 wheeler that had overturned in the roadway. No children were hurt or injured. No children came out of their seats in the process. The bus did not hit any trees or fences.
After assessing the situation with the children, the driver pulled back onto the roadway and proceeded with the route.
In an abundance of caution, the school nurse and other personnel will continue to monitor the children that were on the bus.
