Due to deteriorating road conditions both in Eden and Blackwell, today’s girls playoff game has been postponed.

After speaking with the National Weather Service, the system currently providing moisture was supposed to have passed by 11 AM but has now stalled and has the potential to continue to add moisture to freezing temperatures, although TxDOT says road are fine and have been treated, we are releasing at 12:30 out of an abundance of caution for our students and staff.

Due to slick roads and low temperatures, BCISD will be closed Thursday, February 11. Students will be expected to participate in online learning.

Due to weather concerns, Thursday evening's playoff game vs. Eden has been moved to Friday, February 12 at 3 PM in Winters, weather permitting.

Currently, the forecast calls for possible sleet/ice/snow on Wednesday night/Thursday and possibly Sunday night through Tuesday morning.
If we miss school on any of these days, we will implement online learning.

Irion County is not issuing tickets for the game. Fans pay at the door as normal.

Lady Hornets v. Eden, Thursday, February 11 at 6:00 PM in Winters. Blackwell is the home team and tickets will be $5 and $3. COVID procedures and ticket procedures will be announced once they are received from Winters ISD

Tonight's game vs. Bronte is the final home game for the boys and girls. Although it is listed as a home game, next Tuesday night's game vs Irion County is AT MERTZON.

In order to abide by Covid guidelines and allow for the possibility of more fans, BCISD has changed the basketball senior night schedule.
