Picture Update

Proofs for retakes and spring individual pictures were sent home yesterday. They are dated due on 02/26/2021; however, with the weather last week the deadline will be extended to March 5, 2021. Please turn-in orders for fall retakes AND individual spring pictures by March 5.

Basketball pictures, which were pre ordered, were also given to students yesterday.

BCISD closed for remainder of the week

Due to continuing hazardous road conditions and temperatures forecasted to remain belowd freezing until Friday afternoon, Blackwell CISD will close to in-person learning for the remaining of the week. Virtual learning will be implemented.

Please stay safe and warm and return to school Monday, February 22

No school Wednesday, February 17

Due to electrical outages and roads, Blackwell CISD WILL NOT have in-person learning tomorrow. There WILL be online learning. However, if you know of a family who is having power issues, please help them find a way to notify the classroom teacher that they will be unable to participate in online learning.

Due to roads, snow, ice, temperatures, blizzard, Blackwell CISD will not have in-person school on Monday but will have virtual learning. Classroom teachers will be in touch.

2021-2022 VP of Correspondence

Huge shoutout to Allison Panzer for serving as this years VP of Correspondence! She redid MULTIPLE assignments and duties to accommodate this crazy year!


After speaking with the National Weather Service, the system currently providing moisture was supposed to have passed by 11 AM but has now stalled and has the potential to continue to add moisture to freezing temperatures, although TxDOT says road are fine and have been treated, we are releasing at 12:30 out of an abundance of caution for our students and staff.

No school Thursday

Due to slick roads and low temperatures, BCISD will be closed Thursday, February 11. Students will be expected to participate in online learning.
